4 new destinations and expansions for winter 2024

Air France is expanding its global network in winter 2024-2025, adding new destinations and strengthening existing routes.

After that momentous summer of Olympic and Paralympic Games on Paris 2024during which on Air France has become the leading airline of accredited guests, the company continues to expand its global network. During the 2024-2025 winter season (November 2024 to March 2025), the airline will serve 169 destinations in 73 countries, including 85 long-haul destinations and 84 short- and medium-haul destinations.

Long-haul: Flights to 85 cities, including 4 new destinations

In winter, Air France will expand its long-haul network with flights to 4 new destinations:

  • Kilimanjaro (Tanzania)with three flights per week operated by aircraft Airbus A350-900 from 18 November 2024 With Kilimanjaro, Air France will fly to a total of 26 destinations in Africa this winter (excluding North Africa).
  • Salvador de Bahia (Brazil)with three flights a week from October 28, 2024, with an Airbus A350-900 aircraft. It is Air France’s fifth destination in Brazil, following Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza and Belém (the latter acting as an extension of Cayenne, French Guiana). Frequencies to Rio and Fortaleza will increase this winter, up to 10 and 5 flights per week respectively. In total, Air France will offer up to 32 flights per week to and from Brazil, with connections to 40 domestic destinations, thanks to a commercial partnership with Brazilian carrier GOL.
  • Manila (Philippines)with three flights a week from December 7, 2024, with an Airbus A350-900 aircraft. KLM also flies to Manila using 4 flights a week from Amsterdam Schiphol Boeing 787-9. The coordination of the flight schedules of the two airlines will allow the Air France-KLM group to now offer daily routes to Manila. The addition of Manila will strengthen Air France’s Asian network, where the company also flies to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (up to 15 flights per week), Osaka (up to 3 flights per week), Beijing (up to 7 flights per week), Shanghai (up to 7 flights per week ), Hong Kong (up to 7 flights per week), Seoul (up to 7 flights per week), Bangkok (up to 14 flights per week, compared to 7 in winter 2023-24), Singapore (up to 10 flights per week) and Ho City Shi Minh (3 flights per week).
  • Male (Maldives)with up to 2 flights per week during the holiday season from December 20, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Flights will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

c The Caribbean Air France will increase its flights to Saint Martain. From 20 December 2024, two flights will be offered daily with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Air France will also continue to strengthen its network in North America. This winter, the airline will operate 235 flights a week to 23 destinations across the continent. In the US, Air France will continue its flights to Denver, Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona during the winter season, with three flights a week to each city from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Until now, flights to Denver were only available in the summer, while the route to Phoenix, a new destination in the summer of 2024, launched on March 23.

Short and medium-haul: More than 630 flights per day and improved routes to Northern Europe

Mid-haul routes to Northern Europe will be reinforced during the winter season. The launch of a new route to Kiruna (Sweden) marks Air France’s fifth destination in Lapland, following Rovaniemi (Finland), on Kitilya (Finland), on Tromso (Norway) and Narvik Lofoten (Norway, destination served only in summer). Air France will fly to Kiruna once a week between 21 December 2024 and 8 March 2025 using an Airbus A319 aircraft.

As part of the commercial partnership with SAS, which came into effect on 1 September 2024, Air France customers now enjoy privileged access to 33 new destinations in Northern Europe, including Kristiansund (Norway), Aarhus (Denmark), Turku (Finland) and Luleå (Sweden) via les hubs de SAS in Copenhagenon Oslo and on Stockholm.

During the festive season, Air France will offer flights to destinations previously only served in the summer, inclusive Tangier (Morocco, with up to 3 flights per week from December 22, 2024 to January 3, 2025).

New cabins continue to roll out across the fleet and the new La Première is being unveiled at the end of the year

As part of its strategic upgrade, Air France continues to roll out its new cabins. The new long-haul cabins are available on Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. They refer to Business, Premium and Economy and represent the company’s new standard.

On regional flights, the first Embraer 190 equipped with the new cabins will take off this fall, with lighter, more comfortable seats equipped with USB A and C ports for each passenger.

From July, customers traveling in the La Première cabin have the opportunity to enjoy a new experience at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. They can benefit from a completely private and confidential journey – from arrival at the airport to boarding the plane – and can also book private suites next to the La Première lounge.

At the end of the year, Air France will introduce a completely revamped La Première lounge. With five windows, it is set to be the largest on the market and will be offered on select Boeing 777-300ER aircraft serving Abidjanon Dubaion Los Angeleson Miami on New York-JFK, on San Franciscoon Sao Pauloon Singaporeon Tokyo-Haneda and her Washington.
