Some destinations are rich in culture, some offer fine cuisine, and some just have an effortless “cool” element, but some are just old school, incredibly rich.
According to TimeOut, it might not be hard to guess which countries in Europe are the richest, but WorldAtlas has added its own spin and published a list ranking each country by GDP per capita.
So which country holds the crown of the richest country in Europe? The Luxembourg. The capital of this small Mediterranean country was recently ranked as best city for telecommuting and overall the country has a GDP per capita of 128,597 euros.
It is in second place Irelandwhere the GDP per capita is 119,788 euros, and it is in third place Switzerlandwhich is home to two of the most expensive cities in the world to eat and live in, with a GDP per capita of €82,245.
