Turn your iPhone into a video studio with Final Cut Camera

Apple unveils its new Final Cut Camera app (extracted from Final Cut Pro for phone), available for free in the App Store. This app lets you take full advantage of your iPhone with professional video production tools!

Along with the release of the new versions of Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 and Final Cut Pro for Mac 10.8, Final Cut Camera adds new features. It supports Final Cut Pro’s new Live Multicam mode, which offers intuitive shooting with professional controls.

The Final Cut camera can be used in two ways:

  1. As a standalone app: use it to record your videos with advanced settings including different resolutions, frame rates and encoding. You can easily adjust exposure, white balance and make the focus follow the main subject in action.
  2. You can also use this app as a complement to Final Cut Pro for iPad 2, taking advantage of the professional controls and Live Multicam mode.

Please note that some features are limited to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, such as ProRes recording and the ability to save to an external storage device. Videos recorded with Final Cut Camera are stored in the app’s internal browser and require manual transfer to the library.
