Was AMD the victim of a massive hack? The company has not confirmed anything, but says an investigation is underway.
An organization known as intelBroker claims to have stolen critical data belonging to the number 2 processor, AMD. In particular, this theft affects information about future products, customer databases and financial records.
In a statement to our colleague Reuters AMD says it worked closely with law enforcement and a third-party hosting partner regarding these IntelBroker allegations.
Right now we don’t have much information and we don’t know if all of this is true. The stock market remains cautious, so AMD shares haven’t seen much movement for now.
